New "Libellule" Series Items Added, Evoking Gallé's Spirit

Today, we've added new items to the "Libellule" series from Saint Clément and KG Luneville.

This series was designed by the Art Nouveau master, Émile Gallé. As its name, meaning "dragonfly" in French, suggests, it's a beautiful collection imbued with the vitality of nature.

Timeless, Hand-Painted Warmth

During the Art Nouveau period at the end of the 19th century, natural motifs were central to decorative arts. The flowers and charming insects depicted in the "Libellule" series are each hand-painted by artisans. Their warm, soft colors are captivating, as if a page from a picture book has been brought to life.

In addition to our previous lineup, the shop now features the following appealing new pieces:

Newly Added Items

  • Antique Saucer (Saint Clément) A rare saucer made around the end of the 19th century during the Keller & Guérin (KG) era. With a diameter of approximately 13.5cm, it's small yet impactful. It's perfectly sized not only for pairing with a cup but also as an accessory tray for your favorite small items.

  • Vintage Dinner Plate (KG Luneville) This is a large plate, approximately 25.5cm in diameter, made in the late 20th century. Gallé's design is expressed more dynamically here, and simply displaying it in a cabinet brightens up the entire space.

Historic Art for Your Home

These items bear the "KG (Keller & Guérin)" mark, which was used after the Luneville factory absorbed the Saint Clément factory. This mark is a testament to the weight of history, showing how Gallé's designs were created and how prestigious factories have carefully preserved their beauty to this day.

In addition to the items newly added, you can also view previously sold items in the shop, such as cups and saucers, pots, and creamers. Collecting the entire series allows you to further enjoy the fantastical world of Art Nouveau.

Why not let yourself be soothed by the flowers that retain the artisan's brushstrokes? Each piece is one-of-a-kind with its own unique character, so we hope you find your favorite.
