Today, we're introducing five special plates newly added to our shop.

These are antique and vintage plates featuring traditional French "panier" (basket) relief work. Their delicate, woven-like relief and the hand-painted flowers, showcasing the craftsmanship of artisans, will add a gentle touch of color to your daily life.

"Phantom Signature" Connecting to the Roots of Master Gallé

Among today's lineup, the pink glazed plate stands out. It's an exquisite piece from the "Gallé Reynemer" era, belonging to Charles Gallé, father of Art Nouveau master Émile Gallé.

What's particularly noteworthy is the spelling "Reynemer" on its reverse side. While usually spelled "Reinemer," this "y" variation can occasionally be found in early works or those by specific artisans. It's a "phantom signature" that speaks to the workshop's trials and tribulations and the depth of its history before the brand was established. This plate holds historical and archival value that collectors will surely appreciate.

The Charm of "Panier" as Interior Decor

The greatest appeal of panier plates lies in their "three-dimensionality."

• Blue and Yellow Antiques: These plates, presumed to be from the late 19th century, from French kilns such as Saint-Clément and Lunéville, cast beautiful shadows on walls with their light-transmitting openwork.
