Every time I hold an antique compotier,such thoughts fill my imagination.Elaborately decorated ones might have been used in aristocratic residences to entertain important guests.Those with simple designs might have been used daily in common households.Each compotier,in the scratches etched on its surface and its faded patterns,holds countless stories.
