We've uploaded a large number of antique pitchers.
A miraculous gathering. Featuring charmingly plump French "pichet" pitchers.
Today, we introduce antique pichets (pitchers) that arrived from France, mainly from the late 19th to early 20th centuries.
This lineup actually shares a "special commonality." That is, they all have a lovely "plump silhouette" – short in height and round in shape.
While pichets come in various forms, from tall and slender to large ones, this "plump" shape is the easiest to blend into Japanese living spaces and modern interiors, and also the easiest to display. It is truly rare to see such beautifully matched pichets from various kilns and with diverse patterns gathered in one place.
Let's briefly introduce some of their individual characteristics.
A Symphony of Rich Patterns and Renowned Kilns
-
Classic Blue & Blue-Green Luneville's "JARDINIÈRE" with beautiful blooming flowers, and Badonviller's "JASMIN," depicting fresh jasmine in a deep blue-green. These are versatile colors that best complement the plants you arrange.
-
Chic Brown that Blends into the Space Brown, which pairs exceptionally well with wooden and antique furniture. This collection includes the bird and bamboo pattern from the Salins kiln shown in the photos, Luneville kiln's "Chinoiserie pattern" with a sense of tranquility, and Gien kiln's intricate "FLEURS VARIÉES." A range of subdued tones perfect for autumn dried flowers.
-
Ephemeral yet Elegant Bordeaux (Rouge) Creil et Montereau's fresh "BOUQUETS" and the less common Christmas rose pattern "ROSE DE NOËL" from the Lyon kiln. These exquisite rouge colors, not too stark, serve as a luxurious accent in your interior.
-
Pure Sculptural Beauty in White Digoin & Sarreguemines' unpainted white pichet. The plump, sculptural beauty stands out precisely because all decoration has been stripped away, creating a presence that is picturesque simply by being placed.
Excellence as a "Vessel for Flowers"
All the pichets introduced today have wide openings and a low center of gravity, providing surprising stability.
Therefore, they look stylish even with fresh seasonal flowers casually arranged, and are also ideal for displaying a generous volume of your favorite dried flowers.
Some pieces may have sustained damage such as lines (cracks) or small chips during their long journey of over 100 years. However, we are offering them at reasonable prices so that they can be used casually as vases in daily life. We hope you will cherish this as part of the beautifully matured character of antiques.
These star-quality pichets can change the atmosphere simply by being placed on your favorite chest or daily dining table. Please incorporate the elegance of these renowned kilns, passed down through 100 years, into your everyday interior.
May you find your favorite today.
