We've uploaded the Luneville mistletoe series.
A miracle born in 1900, when art and industry merged
In the early 1900s, an era when art and industry merged and new forms of expression began to emerge, this series of ceramics was created by people's passion and creativity.
It was a novelty item for the French magazine "Les Annales Politiques et Littéraires". The design by ceramic artist Edmond Lachenal was meticulously crafted by the Keller & Guérin Lunéville factory.
The warmth of handcrafted work and artistic beauty
The most striking feature of these ceramics is, without a doubt, the beauty of their colors. Each piece is hand-painted using a special spray gun. As a result, even ceramics of the same design have subtle color variations, giving them a depth reminiscent of a painting.
A diverse range of items and masterpieces etched in history
In addition to tableware, glassware was also produced in collaboration with glass products from Daum Nancy. They not only adorn the dining table but also assert their presence as interior decorations for any room.
However, the production of these beautiful ceramics came to an end with a factory fire in 1914. The molds were destroyed, making these invaluable works impossible to restore.
The brilliance of art recognized by the Musée d'Orsay
Currently, these ceramics are highly regarded for their artistic value and are housed in the Musée d'Orsay. They are cherished by many as representative works of the Art Nouveau style.
Art in your daily life
Acquiring these ceramics is not merely about obtaining an everyday item. It is about incorporating the passion people poured into them over 100 years ago, and the beauty of art, into your life.
