We're thrilled to introduce these heartwarming items from the brand "Rêves d'Argile," created by ceramist Monique Mongayard.

🌟The Story of Rêves d'Argile

Monique Mongayard (hereinafter Monique) has poured her passion into ceramics since earning her qualification in 1995.

Monique particularly loves black clay, and infuses her creations with inspiration from her kitchen garden plants, nature, and French brocante (antiques). She always carries a notebook, sketching things she finds beautiful, and meticulously repeats prototypes to bring her ideas to life, approaching her work with an uncompromising attitude.

🎨The Secret to Delicate Beauty: Monique's Dedication and Love

The greatest charm of Rêves d'Argile lies in its lovely forms and the contrast between the moist, beautiful white glaze and the black clay.

Monique also pays close attention to the thinness of her pieces. Black clay, in particular, tends to retain water and is difficult to dry. To achieve a delicate and slender appearance, she carefully dries the pieces over a long period to make them thin.

"Even if I make 10 pieces, only about 3 are satisfactory."

As this statement suggests, despite struggling with variations in seasons and humidity, she sometimes repeats the glazing and firing process up to four times to achieve a satisfactory finish.

Because each piece is handmade by Monique, imbued with gentleness and warmth, and created over time, these delicate and beautiful white ceramics are born, unlike mass-produced items.
