This is an antique footed plate from Minton, part of their Chinese Diaper series.
During the 19th century, Japonisme swept across Europe.
The Chinese Diaper series emerged during a period of increasing interest in Asia.
It features intricate and delicate patterns with appealing subdued colors.
Condition: There is crazing throughout, and some areas show slight discoloration. There is a chip on the rim of the base.
