This is an antique barbotine chocolate cup from the KG Luneville kiln.

It features an original form, created using a technique called "barbotine," as if a single tulip has been transformed into a cup.

The sculptural beauty, modeled after a tulip, catches the eye with its wavy rim expressing overlapping petals and its plump, rounded body.
A delicate gold line, like a flower vein, is drawn over a gradient of calm, deep red (old rose), exuding the elegance characteristic of antiques.

The size, unique to a chocolate cup, is larger than a typical coffee cup, offering ample capacity.
"Chocolat cups" were once made for enjoying warm chocolate at breakfast.
They can also be used for café au lait with plenty of milk or as soup cups.

The breath of Art Nouveau The curvilinear beauty inspired by plants is precisely the Art Nouveau style of that era.
Just by displaying it on a shelf, it has a presence like an objet d'art that brightens up the space.
