This is an antique barbotine chocolate cup from the KG Luneville pottery.

It features a unique form, created using a technique called "barbotine," that resembles a single tulip transformed into a cup.

The sculptural beauty mimics a tulip, with a wavy rim that expresses overlapping petals and a plump, rounded body that catches the eye.
The calm, deep red (old rose) gradient, accented with delicate gold lines like flower veins, exudes an antique elegance.

The size is characteristic of a chocolate cup. "Chocolat cups," once made for enjoying warm chocolate at breakfast,
are slightly larger than typical coffee cups, offering a generous capacity.
They can also be used for café au lait with plenty of milk or as soup cups.

The breath of Art Nouveau. The curved beauty, with its plant motifs, is truly characteristic of the Art Nouveau style of the era.
Simply placing it on a shelf gives it an ornamental presence that brightens any space.
