This is an antique dessert plate from the Gien Fauvette series.

"Fauvette" means warbler, often seen in the south of France.

It features lively depictions of the charming birds resting on berry vines, as well as wild flowers and vines. The birds seem to be chirping loudly, as if letting their friends know there are plenty of berries to be found.

The border pattern and the central design are connected, making it look like a single painting.

It's a wonderful series that you'll want to display and enjoy.

Condition: This plate shows signs of use, including crazing, utensil marks, and discoloration. You can enjoy the soft atmosphere of an antique piece.
