This is an antique sugar bowl, Minton pattern No. 252, from the Sarreguemines pottery.
It features a floral design rendered in vivid colors. The colors were hand-painted over a transfer print, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship.
The motif here is flowers and a cuckoo (bird). The design has a touch of Japonism.
This is a wonderful series that captivates with the translucent beauty of porcelain and the vibrant flowers.
Condition: The handle of the lid and the inside bottom show some discoloration and partial crazing, but there are no cracks or chips, so it is in good condition.
