Antique Saucer - U&C Sarreguemines Cluny

This is an antique saucer from the Cluny series by U&C Sarreguemines.

The deep, vibrant blue pattern of this piece is captivating. It was originally made as a saucer for a chocolat (chocolate cup).
The delicate floral pattern in the center and the intricate arabesque-style painting along the rim evoke the elegant tea times of the late 19th to early 20th centuries.

Particularly noteworthy is the touch of "yellow" softly added to the blue painting.
Each yellow detail is hand-painted by artisans, and this handcrafted warmth, which cannot be achieved with printing alone,
enhances the overall appearance, making it more vibrant and three-dimensional.

With a diameter of approximately 19cm, it is a very versatile size, not only as a saucer but also as a dessert plate or side dish in modern dining settings.

Condition: There are crazing and stains due to age, but it is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
