Antique Mosgau & Lehmann Gilt Sugar Sifter Spoon

This antique sugar sifter spoon, discovered in France, features delicate geometric openwork that catches the eye.

In its time, it was used to sprinkle powdered sugar on sweets and fruits.
The contrast between the silver-colored handle and the brilliantly gilded bowl makes this an exceptionally elegant piece.

Artisan Openwork
The meticulous, kaleidoscope-like cuts in the bowl cast beautiful shadows on the table when light passes through them.

Heavily Decorated Handle
The handle is exquisitely adorned with three-dimensional reliefs featuring motifs of grapes and plants, reflecting the lavish craftsmanship of France's Belle Époque era.

How to Enjoy in Daily Life
Beyond its use for finishing baked goods, simply displaying it in a cutlery stand as a decorative piece will add a special touch of elegance to any space.

Condition: There is wear to the plating due to age, discoloration unique to brass, and minor scratches. However, these imperfections actually highlight the three-dimensional decorations, giving it a deep, antique character.

Manufacturer: Mosgau & Lehmann
Period: Circa 1895-1912
