Antique Dessert Plate, U&C Sarreguemines Eglantier B

This is an antique dessert plate from the U&C Sarreguemines factory, Eglantier series.

"Eglantier" means wild rose.

Wild roses bloom profusely by the roadside, almost too much for their own good. Their natural, freely blooming appearance is beautifully depicted.

Because the coloring is hand-painted, the atmosphere and hues of each flower differ, making you feel as if you are observing real flowers.

It's a wonderful plate that you'll want to display and admire.
