Antique Dessert U&C Sarreguemines Rouen C

This is an antique dessert plate from the U&C Sarreguemines factory, from the Rouen series.

As its name suggests, this series is Sarreguemines' superb reproduction of traditional designs from Rouen, northern France, a city long known for its pottery.

The plant, bird, and insect motifs depicted in the center are all hand-painted by skilled artisans.
The powerful brushstrokes unique to hand-painting and the vibrant yet deep colors beautifully stand out against the white ceramic surface.
The delicate decorations on the rim also add a splendid touch to the overall impression.

It is also recommended to enjoy it as a display piece, hung on a wall or placed on a stand.
It pairs well with Japanese tableware and has a presence that makes it the centerpiece of any collection.

Condition: There is crazing spread throughout and a slight stain on the back, but there are no chips or cracks, and it is in good condition.
