Antique saucer, Saint-Clément, Émile Gallé, Libellule (Dragonfly) I
This is an antique saucer from the Saint Clement Pottery (Saint Clement Kiln) from the Libellule series.
The "Libellule" series from Saint Clement Pottery was designed by the master of Art Nouveau, Émile Gallé.
"Libellule" means "dragonfly" in French.
During the Art Nouveau period, natural motifs were often incorporated into art and craft.
Its charm lies in its warm design, like something out of a picture book, featuring hand-painted flowers and lovely insects.
It also makes a wonderful accessory tray.
Condition: No chips or cracks, in very good condition.
Size: Approximately 13.5cm in diameter x 2.4cm in height
Era: Believed to have been manufactured around the late 19th century.
Given the "KG (Keller & Guérin)" mark, it is presumed to have been made after Émile Gallé left the Saint Clement Pottery.
