This is an antique divided plate (mendiant) from KG Luneville, part of the Mimosa series.

This shape, known as "mendiant," was originally used for serving nuts and dried fruits. It features a handle shaped like a tree branch in the center, and its three-section, scalloped form exudes an elegance reminiscent of a large blooming flower.

With delicate touches of lovely mimosa yellow and spring-announcing anemone pink, this piece beautifully captures the essence of French Art Nouveau from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The colors, as if a spring garden from Southern France has been perfectly captured, instantly brighten any space it occupies.

Particularly noteworthy is its astonishing condition. There is almost no "crazing" typical of pottery from this era, and with no chips or cracks, it is a superb item, almost like new old stock.

It would be wonderful as an accessory tray or a special display when welcoming important guests.

Condition: No crazing was found. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
Size: 29.5cm x 23.5cm, Height 11cm
Period: Late 19th to early 20th century
