This is an antique soup tureen/legumier from the Longchamp pottery, part of the Exotique series.

Against an ivory background, an intricate transfer print in a deep red color depicts an "Exotique" (exotic/foreign-inspired) landscape, true to its name.
Motifs include palm trees and exotic buildings, and the beautiful scenery covers the entire vessel, creating a unique world.
Its round, low-profile form makes it a very easy-to-handle lidded container.

Beyond its original use as tableware, this soup tureen excels as "an antique for display."
Placed on a console or chest, its three-dimensional form with a lid and gorgeous blue floral pattern will
become an eye-catcher in your room, creating a classic and sophisticated atmosphere.
We also recommend using it as an elegant decorative pot for dried flowers or potpourri.

With its presence and historical beauty, you can enjoy it as a dignified interior piece, much like an artifact from a museum collection.

Condition: There is one crack-like mark on the lid, but it does not penetrate through to the inside.
Otherwise, there are few noticeable scratches or signs of use, and considering its age, it is in excellent condition.

Size: Approximately 28cm including handles x approximately 20cm mouth diameter x approximately 16cm height (9.5cm without lid)
Period: 1880-1912
