Cierge (Candle) Diameter 4cm Vieille Cire
Ciergerie des Prémontrés
This 4cm diameter candle is made using a technique called A La Louche (ladle method). This technique, also known as candle haute couture, is the same method used for candles consecrated in churches.
This is a medieval technique, handcrafted entirely by artisans from start to finish, resulting in exceptionally high quality and allowing for large, thick candles (up to 140cm high and 12cm in diameter).
The artisan attaches the candle wick to a metal ring and repeatedly pours hot molten wax onto the wick with a ladle hundreds of times, gradually thickening it. This process of "adding and shaping" repeatedly creates a candle with beautiful layers, much like the annual rings of a tree.
In addition to this, Ciergerie des Prémontrés candles are meticulously crafted with plenty of beeswax and wicks thoroughly permeated with wax, allowing them to burn for about twice as long as typical candles.
This is an item you'll definitely want to incorporate into your table setting. You can enjoy it in many ways, such as combining candles of different heights, thicknesses, and colors, or adding candle jewels to create your preferred atmosphere.
If you use it as an interior decoration without lighting it, you can simply place it as it stands upright without needing to be fixed. If you light it, please be careful to prevent it from toppling over by dripping wax onto a plate to adhere it or by fixing it in a holder.
