Cierge (Candle) Diameter 7cm Linen
Ciergerie des Prémontrés
This 7cm diameter candle is made using a technique called "A La Louche" (ladle method). This technique is also known as "haute couture for candles," and candles offered to churches are made using the same method.
This medieval technique, handcrafted by artisans from start to finish, ensures extremely high quality and allows for the creation of large, thick candles (up to 140cm high and 12cm in diameter).
The artisan attaches the candle wick to a metal ring and repeatedly ladles hot, molten wax onto the wick hundreds of times, gradually thickening it. This process of "adding layers and shaping" creates beautiful layers in the candle, resembling the annual rings of a tree.
In addition, Ciergerie des Prémontrés candles are meticulously crafted with abundant beeswax and wicks thoroughly saturated with wax, allowing them to burn for about twice as long as ordinary candles.
Thick, long candles have a strong presence and are an item we highly recommend incorporating into your table settings. You can enjoy them by combining candles of different heights, thicknesses, and colors, or by adding candle jewels to create your preferred ambiance.
If using as an interior decoration without lighting, you can use it as is, as it stands upright without needing to be fixed. If lighting it, please be careful to prevent it from tipping over by dripping wax onto a plate to adhere it or by fixing it in a holder.
