Cierges (Candle) Diameter 4cm Dragee
Ciergerie des Prémontrés
These 4cm diameter candles are made using a technique called "A La Louche" (ladle method). This technique is also known as "haute couture" for candles, and candles dedicated to churches are made using the same method.
This is a medieval technique where the entire process, from start to finish, is done by hand by artisans. This results in very high quality and allows for the creation of large, thick candles (up to 140cm high and 12cm in diameter).
The artisan attaches the candle wick to a metal ring and repeatedly ladles hot, melted wax onto the wick hundreds of times, gradually building up its thickness. The candles created by this repeated process of "adding and shaping" develop beautiful layers, much like the annual rings of a tree.
In addition, Ciergerie des Prémontrés candles are made with meticulous attention to detail, including a generous amount of beeswax and wicks thoroughly soaked in wax. This allows them to burn for approximately twice as long as ordinary candles.
These are items we highly recommend for your table settings. You can enjoy them in many ways, such as combining candles of different heights, thicknesses, and colors, or by adding candle jewels to create your desired ambiance.
If using as an interior decoration without lighting, you can use them as they are, as they stand upright without needing to be fixed. If lighting them, please be careful to prevent them from tipping over by dripping wax onto a plate to adhere them, or by securing them in a holder.
