This is a pitcher from the "JARDINIÈRE" series by the Luneville pottery.

As the series name, meaning "flowerbed" or "flower-arranging vessel," suggests, the soft white ceramic surface is vibrantly adorned with a rich display of blooming flowers and plants in an elegant and beautiful blue transferware design. From the undulating cut of the spout to the handle and the intricate details of the rim, beautiful botanical paintings are applied, creating a picturesque appearance from any angle.

Its greatest charm is its "plump silhouette," with a modest height and a rounded, squat form.
Its moderate size makes it easy to fit into Japanese living spaces and interiors, instantly brightening up chests and tables.
The classic blue color has a special versatility that most beautifully complements the greens of plants and the vivid hues of flowers arranged within it.

Due to a hairline crack visible on the spout, it is offered at a very affordable price.
True to its name, "JARDINIÈRE" (flower-arranging vessel), you can use it freely to casually arrange seasonal flowers or as a vase to display plenty of dried flowers, all while enjoying its aged antique charm.
Please enjoy the elegance of this renowned pottery, passed down for over 100 years, as part of your everyday interior.
