Around the 19th century, most French households made their own vinegar, and these pots were used for that purpose.
They can also be used to make homemade plum wine or herb oils by adding herbs and chili peppers to olive oil.
(Comes with a French-made boxwood spigot and cork.)
A 3L vinegar pot in Bleu Nuit is also available.
