Mirrors made during the time of Napoleon III were crafted from Bois durci.

Bois durci is a material made from hardened wood powder, and its deep black, resembling poured ink, gives it an almost magical aura.

This mirror features beautiful botanical decorations and a substantial thickness, exuding a sense of luxury. Everything harmonizes perfectly, radiating an intriguing, captivating charm.

The metal fittings on the back had deteriorated, so some parts have been replaced with new ones.

Cushioning material has been added to the inside for reinforcement to prevent the mirror from shifting.
