Antique Cup & Saucer, Sarreguemines Perruche

This is an antique cup and saucer from the U&C Sarreguemines factory, from the Perruche series.

"Perruche" means parakeet, and true to its name, it features an exotic and elegant design with the influence of Chinoiserie.
The dark purple and yellow thunder pattern (Greek key pattern) applied to the rim of the cup and the edge of the saucer gives a distinguished accent to the whole piece.
The delicate, hand-painted floral and botanical patterns in red, yellow, and green on the white porcelain create an elegant atmosphere.
The vibrant lime green trim unifies the oriental motifs into a modern aesthetic.

Condition: There is almost no sign of use, and no chips or cracks, making it in a very beautiful condition.

Cup: Approximately 11.5cm wide (including handle) x 9.5cm diameter x 4.5cm high
Saucer: Approximately 15cm diameter x 2.2cm high
