Antique Soup Tureen - U&C Sarreguemines - Chêne

This is an antique soup tureen, U&C Sarreguemines Chêne.

Its round, macaron-like charming form is very appealing.

The rim features acorns still attached to branches. Some acorns appear to have fallen from their caps, showing the maker's playful spirit.

The handles are sturdily made, suggesting ease of use.

Although designed as a soup tureen, it makes for a splendid decorative interior piece on its own.

It would also be lovely to use as a candy box, filled with your favorite candies or chocolates.

Other than a small, inconspicuous chip on the rim, there are no cracks, and the tureen is in very good condition.
