Antique Water Glass Portieux Persan

This antique glass is from Portieux, a French glass manufacturer.

Its most distinctive feature is the delicate engraving (etching/guilloche) called "Guillochage Persan" applied to the upper part of the glass.
Intricate Persian-style patterns with an exotic feel encircle the glass.
Although it is a precise mechanical engraving, the beautiful finish showcases the craftsmanship of the artisans of that time.
