Vintage dessert plate Sarreguemines La Fontaine's Fables (The City Mouse and the Country Mouse)

This is a vintage plate from the Sarreguemines factory, from their La Fontaine's Fables series.

The City Mouse and the Country Mouse (Le rat des villes et le rat des champs)
This plate depicts a wealthy city mouse and a country mouse living a simple life.
In the original fable, the city mouse invites the country mouse to a feast in the city,
but the lesson learned is that the country mouse, tired of a life constantly fearing danger, chooses a simple but peaceful life.

However, on this plate, the city mouse is dashingly driving a car, bidding farewell to the country mouse.
The contrast between the luxurious car and the city mouse's composed expression, and the country mouse looking on in surprise, is humorously depicted.

Condition: There is crazing due to age, but there are no chips or cracks, and it is in very good condition with no signs of use.
