This is an antique footed plate from the Creil & Montereau factory, part of the "Japon" series.

The "Japon" series from the Creil & Montereau factory was heavily influenced by Japonism, when Japanese aesthetics swept through Europe in the latter half of the 19th century.

It features delicate paintings reminiscent of Japanese landscapes, depicted in a deep lapis lazuli celadon blue.
Plants such as bamboo, pine, and plum blossoms are depicted in a composition that makes use of negative space, highlighting the serene beauty of the East.
The rim is adorned with designs reminiscent of traditional Japanese patterns, showing meticulous attention to detail.
