Antique Cup & Saucer Sarreguemines Brûlot Red B

This is an antique cup and saucer from the Sarreguemines pottery, in the Brûlot Red pattern.

It features a simple yet striking design, accented by deep red lines.

Brûlot cups are typically made thicker than usual, reportedly because they were once used for "café brûlot," a drink where flamed alcohol was added to coffee.
The thick construction is ideal for enjoying warm beverages slowly.

Condition: There is crazing due to age, but no chips or cracks, and no signs of use.
It remains in very good condition for an antique item.
