Antique Cup & Saucer Sarreguemines Brûlot Red E
This is an antique cup and saucer, a "Brûlot Red," from the Sarreguemines (サルグミンヌ) pottery.
It features a simple yet striking design, accented by deep red lines.
Brûlot cups are typically made thicker than usual,
said to be because they were once used for "Café Brûlot," where flamed spirits were added to coffee.
Their thick construction is suitable for slowly enjoying warm beverages.
Condition: There are crazing due to age and small chips on the foot rim, but there are no signs of use.
It remains in a very good condition for an antique item.
