Vintage Cup Villeroy & Boch Rusticana A

This is a vintage Villeroy & Boch Rusticana cup.

"Rusticana" means rustic or simple. As the name suggests, the cup beautifully depicts a peaceful countryside landscape surrounding a lake. The rim features a lace-like relief, adding an elegant touch. The rhythmic relief is tactile, conveying a warm and gentle feel to the fingers.

Even the bottom interior of the cup features a wild rose pattern, making it a small yet beautiful piece.

This Villeroy & Boch piece is French-made.

Because the Saar region, bordering Germany, became part of France after the war, this is a rare cup produced as "Made in France" during that period.

Manufactured: 1947-1956

There is crazing and staining, but no chips or cracks.
