This is an antique dessert plate from Gien's "Fauvette" series.
"Fauvette" means warbler, a bird often seen in Southern France.
The plate vibrantly depicts warblers resting among berry vines, as well as wild flowers and vines. The birds appear to be calling out to their companions, alerting them to the abundance of berries.
The border pattern and the central illustration connect seamlessly, forming a single, continuous picture.
It's a lovely series that you'll want to display and enjoy.
Condition: There is crazing and discoloration. There are also utensil marks, indicating the plate has been used. You can enjoy the soft, antique charm.
