Antique Pedestal Plate, Minton Pattern C

A footed plate, believed to be British porcelain.

Flower patterns are depicted with vibrant colors. Colors are hand-painted over the transferware, giving a sense of intricate craftsmanship.
This piece features flowers and a cuckoo (bird) as motifs. The design evokes Japonism.
It's a wonderful series where vibrant flowers bloom on the translucent white ground of the porcelain.

Condition: The gold gilding is almost completely gone, but there are no chips or cracks, and it is in very good condition.
