Antique Dessert Plate R&S Clairefontaine La Grammaire 12

This is an antique dessert plate from the Clairefontaine factory, part of the La Grammaire series.

It is the 12th decorative plate in the "La grammaire" (Grammar) series.
The title is "Application de la Règle," meaning "Application of the Rule." However, it's a play on words, as "Règle" not only means "rule" but also "ruler."
"Application" also means "to apply" or "to strike," which explains the image of someone being hit with a ruler.
This image clearly depicts the strictness of schools in the past.

Condition: There is some crazing and slight signs of use, but it is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
