This is an antique plate from the Onnaing Pottery, Eglantines series.

"Eglantines" refers to wild roses.
The dynamically drawn bouquet and the delicate border decorations beautifully adorn the plate.

The Onnaing Pottery was located in Onnaing, a town in northern France near Belgium. It was particularly famous for its barbotine ware and existed from 1821 to 1938.

This particular series does not have the usual backstamp. Furthermore, instead of "Terre de fer" (earthenware), it is marked "Ivoire" (ivory), leading me to believe it was a special edition. ("Ivoire" means ivory. It likely indicates that the clay used was close to a cream color.)

The creamy plate, with its added coloring and crazing, has achieved a lovely antique aesthetic.

Condition: There is crazing spread across the entire surface and some discoloration, but no chips or cracks, so it is in good condition.
Size: Approximately 22.5 cm diameter x 3 cm
Era: Believed to be late 19th century.
