Antique Dessert Plate, Sarreguemines, Cérès B

This is an antique dessert plate from the Sarreguemines pottery, part of the Ceres series.

"Ceres" is the name of the goddess of prayer in Roman mythology. The delicate and mystical crazing, as if named after her, is breathtakingly beautiful and mesmerizing.

Condition: There is crazing and staining throughout. There is a hairline crack about 3cm from the rim. The overall appearance is relatively clean.
