This is an antique ravior from the Gien Pottery, Fauvette series.
"Fauvette" means nightingale. They are often seen in the south of France.
The lively depiction shows the cute bird resting on a berry vine, and the wild beauty of flowers and vines.
With vine patterns also adorning the rim and underside, this ravior is a lovely piece that demonstrates meticulous attention to detail.
Condition: Craquelure, stains, and cutlery marks are visible. The foot on the back is chipped, but this does not affect the front.
