This is a vintage raviere from the Moulin des loups (Saint-Amand) pottery.
A raviere painted with a lovely orange design.
Oranges are commonly eaten in France during winter and are a familiar fruit during Christmas.
However, the orange lines and designs somehow evoke the heat of Southern France.
Since it's painted directly, you can enjoy the brushstrokes and subtle color variations, which is unique to handmade items.
It would also be lovely for holding accessories, or for keeping pens, scissors, etc., on your desk.
Condition: There is a small chip on the rim, but it is not noticeable. There is almost no crazing, making this a raviere in good condition.
Size: 24.3cm x 13.7cm, Height 2.5cm
Era: Mid-20th century
