Antique Raviers Salins Savoie

An antique ravie from Salins depicting the Savoie series.

This series features chestnut leaves and nuts in its design.

Although rarely seen in Japan, these trees are common in France.

Chestnut trees hold special memories for me. I used to play with their nuts and collect them for my grandmother. She taught me that "putting a chestnut in your pocket can alleviate rheumatic pain." It's a plant very familiar to French people.

Savoie is a mountainous region, located a little south of Mont Blanc.

Condition: There are manufacturing imperfections, crazing, and stains, but no cracks or chips.
