This is an antique salad bowl from the Longwy Muguet (lily of the valley) series.

This antique plate is a piece you'll want to add to your cherished collection. It's an item you'll want to display on a shelf or use to hold accessories, rather than keeping it tucked away, allowing you to fully enjoy it.

Lily of the valley is also known as "Kimikage-sou" (shadow of you grass) in Japanese, evoking the image of a beautiful and modest woman who thinks of her loved ones and quietly watches over them from the shadows.

With its simple and understated beauty, lily of the valley has long been famous in France as "the flower that brings happiness" or "the flower that brings happiness again." May 1st is "fête du muguet," a day to give lily of the valley to loved ones. Also, because its appearance resembles a veiled bride, it is often given as a gift at weddings.

The design evokes the modest beauty of the lily of the valley. The deep greenish-blue color and white ceramic further enhance its elegance. Between the patterns, small floral reliefs are applied, adding a soft impression like lace, making it a very charming series.
