This is an antique chocolate cup and saucer from the U&C Sarreguemines factory, from the Louis XV series.

This chocolate cup and saucer is from the elegant Rococo "Louis XV" series.
It is a masterpiece in which late 19th-century artisans beautifully reproduced the Louis XV style that flourished in the 18th-century French court in ceramics.
Every time you hold it, it exudes an overwhelming elegance, as if inviting you into the salons of the ladies of that era.

The greatest charm of this series lies in the beauty of its "curves."
Wavy reliefs, like seashells, flow from the cup to the saucer, casting soft, pearl-like shadows depending on the angle.

The delicate flowers depicted seem as if wildflowers from a garden have been gently captured.
The gilding adorning the rim, having mellowed with time, emits a subdued glow, conveying the "quiet dignity" unique to antiques amidst its splendor.

The generously sized chocolate cup is perfect for a special, self-indulgent moment, slowly enjoying warm cocoa or milk tea.
Even just displayed on a shelf, its captivating decorative beauty has the power to brighten up any space.

Condition: Cup: There are some fine scratches and slight fading of the gilding on the rim, but no crazing is visible, and it is in beautiful condition with no signs of use.
Saucer: In very good condition with no crazing or signs of use.
Size:
Cup: Mouth diameter 13.5 cm x including handle 11 cm x height 6 cm
Saucer: Diameter approx. 17.5 cm x height approx. 2.2 cm
Period: Early to mid-20th century
