Antique Soup Tureen/Vegetable Dish - JULES VIEILLARD Bordeaux Byzantin

This is an antique soup tureen/legumier from the Jules Vieillard Bordeaux kiln, in the Byzantin series.

Against an ivory-tinted background, a delicate, continuous Byzantine (Eastern Roman Empire) pattern is depicted in deep red.
This elegant and dignified decoration has a special power to transform the atmosphere of any space it adorns.

This soup tureen/legumier not only serves its original purpose as tableware but also shines as an "antique for display."
