Antique Sugar Bowl from a British kiln (Stanley Charles Amison)
This is an antique sugar bowl from Stanley Charles Amisons Pottery.
The sides are adorned with the distinctive orange and black floral decoration characteristic of this series, instantly catching the eye when placed on a table.
The wavy scalloped rim and gilding add an elegant touch.
Although originally a sugar bowl, its convenient depth makes it suitable for serving not only sugar cubes but also candies, chocolates, or traditional Japanese sweets.
Condition: There is some age-related crazing and fading of the gilding, and a small, inconspicuous chip on the foot rim. Overall, it is in good condition.
