Antique Plate Villeroy & Boch Chardons

Chardons are blue flowers found in Provence, France, and Italy. In Japan, they are called "azami" (thistles), and are typically pink or purple.

Though covered in tiny prickly thorns, this pattern gives a gentle and soft impression. It evokes a warmth as if happily blooming in a field, swaying in the wind. The smooth fluted rim also enhances its cuteness.

Fine crazing is spread throughout, causing stains, which gives it a strong antique character. There are chips on the rim on both the front and back.
