These 7 cm diameter candles are made using a technique called "A La Louche" (ladle method). This technique, also known as candle haute couture, is the same method used for candles consecrated in churches.

This is a medieval technique, handcrafted by artisans from beginning to end, resulting in extremely high quality and allowing for large, thick candles (up to 140 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter).

The artisan attaches the candle wick to a metal ring and repeatedly scoops hot, molten wax with a ladle onto the wick hundreds of times, gradually thickening it. By repeatedly "adding and shaping," the candle is formed, creating beautiful layers that resemble tree rings.

In addition to this, Ciergerie des Prémontrés candles, crafted with meticulous attention to detail including a generous amount of beeswax and thoroughly saturated wicks, can burn for approximately twice as long as typical candles.

Thick, long candles have a commanding presence and are an item we highly recommend incorporating into your table settings. You can combine them with candles of different heights, thicknesses, and colors, or add candle jewels to create your desired atmosphere, offering plenty of enjoyment.

If using them as an interior decoration without lighting, they can be used as they are, as they stand upright without needing to be fixed. If lighting them, please be careful not to let them tip over by dripping wax onto a plate to adhere them, or fixing them in a holder.
