Antique Plate - Gien - Fauvette

This is an antique plate from Gien's Fauvette series.

"Fauvette" means a warbler, often seen in southern France.

The plate vividly depicts adorable scenes of warblers resting on berry vines, as well as the wild beauty of flowers and vines. It's as if the bird is opening its beak wide, calling to its friends about the abundance of berries.

The border pattern connects with the design in the center, making it look like a single painting.

Condition: There is a large crack, so it is for display only. There are also crazing, stains, and a large chip on the rim.
