Antique Deep Plate Gien Coquelicots

This is an antique Gien deep plate with a Coquelicots (poppy) design.

The poppy, which represents the red of the French flag, is a flower that blooms beautifully and strongly, and is much loved in France.

An antique plate depicting such poppies is also lovely when displayed as a decorative plate.

Condition: Fine crazing is visible throughout, with some stains in places, allowing you to enjoy the soft texture of an antique piece. There are no chips or cracks, and it is in very good condition.
