Vintage Flower Basket (Flower Gathering Pannier)

This is a traditional shallow basket, made for gently arranging and carrying freshly cut roses and herbs in French and English gardens.

Its distinguishing feature is a shallow, wide, and flat weave, intentionally designed to prevent picked flowers from being crushed when piled. The large, arched handle is a practical design, allowing it to be hooked over an arm for ease of work.
