Vintage Chocolate Cup & Saucer Digoin & Sarreguemines Obernai (B)

This is a vintage chocolate cup and saucer from the Digoin & Sarreguemines factory, from the Obernai series.

The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, a painter from the Alsace region of France,
and vividly depicts the beautiful townscapes and daily life scenes of Alsace.

This chocolate cup and saucer features an idyllic and lovely scene of a woman in traditional Alsatian costume walking with geese,
a figure that is one of the iconic motifs of this series.
The rim of the cup and saucer is adorned with ornate floral and ribbon decorations.

It can be enjoyed not only as tableware to decorate your dining table but also as an interior decoration displayed in a cabinet.

Condition: Craquelure is visible, but there are no signs of use, chips, or cracks, and it is in excellent condition.

Saucer: 19.5cm diameter x 2.3cm height
Period: 1920s to 1960s
